The Little Radio Show, Episode 68: Meet the Seguras — Ashley Amanda & Jeff (part 2)

December 15, 2016 by sandra Leave a Comment

The Little Radio Show, Episode 68: Meet the Seguras -- Ashley Amanda & Jeff (part 2) thelittleradioshow.comThis week on The Little Radio Show we continue our conversation with Ashley Amanda Segura, the voice behind New Mom in a New Era, and we bring in Jeff Segura, from The Daddy Style Diaries. Ashley blogs about being a young mom to a 1-year-old and other parenting and lifestyle topics. Jeff blogs about fatherhood, fashion, and other lifestyle topics.

We originally invited Ashley to come onto the show to discuss how she handles it when people — especially in the blogging community — say (after being introduced) “oh, you’re Jeff’s wife!” This is in spite of the fact that she began blogging before Jeff (her husband) and actually has a larger audience. In this episode we bring in Jeff to get his point of view.

You can listen to the first part of this conversation on Episode 67.

“The Little Radio Show” is on HMSNetRadio.org on Thursdays at 2 pm (CST). The show hosts are Sandra Fernandez (@sandrasays), Juan Alanis (@juanofwords), and Anjelica Cazares (@la_anjel).

And we’re still trying to figure out why. Listen in and tell us what you think … and, be warned, this is part 1 of a two-part conversation. The Little Radio Show, Episode 39: Mother’s Day

May 5, 2016 by sandra Leave a Comment

TLRS Ep. 39

Just in time for Mother’s Day, this week we’re dedicating our entire show to the wonderful women in our lives who also happen to be mothers. Whether it’s our own mom, ourselves, a sister, a niece, or someone we don’t yet know, every person dedicating their time and energy to raising a family deserves a little recognition.

This Mother’s Day we spent a little time with style and parenting influencer New Mom in a New Era who shared a little about her journey as a young mother. We also reminisced about some of our most memorable moments with our own moms.

Tune in and share some memories of your own about what makes Mother’s Day so special.
