TLRS Ep.75: Our favorite Netflix shows

February 16, 2017 by sandra Leave a Comment

TLRS Ep.75: Our favorite Netflix shows (thelittleradioshow.com)This week on The Little Radio Show we talk about our favorite new (and not-so-new) Netflix shows. These include:

  • One Day at a Time
  • Club de Cuervos
  • A Series of Unfortunate Events

“One Day at a Time” is garnering a lot of attention. It’s a reboot of a 1970s/1980s hit sitcom that launched the career of Valerie Bertinelli. The new version, a Netflix original, has a mostly Hispanic cast and focuses on three generations of a Cuban-American family. Justina Machado plays the mom, a newly-separated military vet who has recently-returned from the Middle East. Of particular interest is the fact that the show marks Rita Moreno’s return to the (small) screen. We talk about our opinions on the show.

“Club de Cuervos” is revisited … enough said.

And we take a look at “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” Netflix’s take on Lemony Snicket’s children’s book series. The Netflix version has Neil Patrick Harris taking the role of Count Olaf, the villain.

What have you been watching lately?
